What my day at home looks like

Hello!
I've been at home for almost a month now. At first, it all seemed almost liberating. I didn't need to wake up so early, put on my makeup and I thought that I would finally have time for everything I've wanted to do for some time. After a few days, I realised that staying in one place can be exhausting, too. I got to the point where I miss every little aspect of my school life.
Even though this isolation isn't easy, I still try to make use of the time I have. Today I want to show you how my typical day looks like and hopefully give you some ideas for things you can do during these hectic days.

A healthy breakfast

Mornings are my favourite part of the day, especially when I have some time to sit down and spend a moment enjoying the stillness or listening to birds singing outside. Recently I have finally had more time to prepare healthy, nutritious meals. I usually eat something sweet in the morning. Oatmeal with fruits and peanut butter, or banana pancakes are some of my favourites. If you stay at home, it is a great idea to try out a new recipe and nurture your body and soul.

Studying

If we are already stuck at home, why don't we spend some time productively? Sometimes it's not easy to get to reading a coursebook or making notes, but things we've learned are going to benefit us in the future.
I try to devote  part of my day to learning. Actually, during the week, I get some schoolwork to do. My school is closed, but the teachers send us different work cards. Besides, I've been brushing up my German skills through by videos and reading articles online. Isn't it a fun way of learning a language?

Spending time in nature

I'd always been complaining about living in a village. Now, I can definitely see the benefits.
I can go  on a walk to the nearby forest, and I do it almost every day. Nature makes me feel inner peace, and
admiring the green scenery is very refreshing.

Quality time with my family

Unfortunately, I can't visit any of my friends at the moment. Consequently, I've been spending much more time with my family. We talk, cook together and relax outside, in our garden. We'd never had time for this before. Everyone was really preoccupied with their own duties and we'd bearly had simple conversations. Now, we can spend time like real friends.

Cleaning and sorting out

During the school year, I'd always been getting out of cleaning and blaming a barrage of schoolwork and a lack of time. Currently, I've been spending most of my day in my room so having a mess would literally overwhelm me. So far, I've reorganized my closet and every drawer I have. For me a clean room equals clear a mind, that's why I try to spend at least ten minutes daily on sorting things out, vacuuming or even removing unnecessary files from my computer.

Exercising

Moving my body is a necessity for me, especially if I spend the majority of my day sitting in front of the computer. Sometimes working out doesn't seem appealing, but I never regret it afterwards. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment and confidence. Exercising is extremely important at the moment because most of us don't leave our homes as often as we normally would and movement is something vital not only for the body but also for the mood.

Evening relaxation

Generally, quarantine is a great opportunity to slow down and take time for the things that make us happy. During the school year, I spend most of my evenings learning and don't make much time for watching movies or reading. I'm not able to be up to date with the series I watch and now I can finally catch up with the latest episodes. Taking a break every now and then is really important for our mental health and we shouldn't feel guilty for doing it.

These are the main things that I do during the period of social isolation. I try to make something meaningful each day and take care of my mental health.

  7. Sounds like you have a great quarantine routine for yourself! Now that things have really slowed down compared to our usual busy lives, it is nice to appreciate little moments through the day. I have online classes for college too and they're really driving me nuts tbh haha! I hope you are hanging in there!

  10. Aww really pretty photos of nature! That's actually a good idea, no better time to learn a different language! I've been doing a lot of experimenting in the kitchen so that's one good thing that's come out of this unfortunate situation. Thanks for sharing your day doll, stay safe!

  11. U mnie dni z jednej strony wyglądają tak samo, z drugiej zupełnie inaczej. Wstaję o różnych porach, codziennie sprzątam i gotuję. Dużo czytam książkę i różnych artykułów. Maluje obrazy, planuje swoją przyszłość. Spędzam czas na ogrodzie i pielęgnuję moje zwierzaki.
    Cudowne zdjęcie!

  13. It's good you have been finding productive ways to fill your time in isolation! I found the time at home flew by really quickly for us! We had a lot of difficulty getting used to working from home while helping the kids with their online learning - it's nice that they are back at school now!

Hope that you are having a nice weekend :)
