How to de-stress

 Hi!
At certain points of my life I definitely have the feeling that I'm doing too much and I don't even have time for myself. Sometimes we go from one place to another and forget about taking a deep breath. Maybe that's because of school, work or some problems. Stress takes our energy out and destroys our health. However, there are ways to overcome it and today I want to share these solutions with you.

Take a rest before you work again
You should know, that taking a rest is the best way to de-stress. After a long day at work or school, sit down for a few minutes. Maybe you don't like to just sit and do nothing. In the present case, read a book, go for a walk or listen to the music. Do something that doesn't engage your brain so much. It will be easier for you to focus on things if you aren't tired.

Make a schedule
(and predict that everything takes more time than it seems to take)

If you feel that you don't have enough time, make your own agenda and try to stick to it. You should write everything you want to achieve during the given day. You should also count that often things take more time than supposedly. You stress less if everything is written down and you know, that you wouldn't forget about anything.

Take up a hobby
People are the most satisfied if they do something they love. You can find a new hobby if you still don't know what makes you happy. Maybe that's dancing, writing or even listening to the music. Do things that are important to you and because of which you are in a good mood.

 Meet valuable people
Everybody needs friends and people who are close to us. I have the feeling that by getting to know them, we can truly see our own personality and who we really are. Honest talk or laughing makes wonders.

 Meditate
(or just sit quietly for a while)

If you feel that you have a lot on your mind, sit down and stop thinking for a few minutes. It might sound weird, but by giving yourself a break, you will be more relaxed and capable of doing things. Meditating is also one of the most powerful ways to help you chill out. Take a deep breath and listen to the birds singing outside or quiet music. You can find helpful videos about meditating on YouTube.

Write a journal

You can do it for example, before going to bed. If you write down your emotions and feelings, it'll be easier to cope with them. Note everything that goes around in your head.

Take care of yourself

You will feel better if you care about yourself. Whether it's exercising or putting a moisturizing mask on, you will instantly have this feeling, that you are doing something for your health. You probably don't have time during that stressful period, but I'm sure that you can incorporate 10 minutes of exercise to your daily routine.

Sleep as long as you need

I have to admit that I often don't do it. However, when I skip sleep, I feel unmotivated and exhausted. You probably can't do anything while you are sleepy either.  Our body and brain is resting when we are asleep, so we shouldn't cut down on it. We work better and faster when we are well-rested.

These were my favourite tips to reduce stress. I use a lot of them daily and I think, that if you try something from the list above, it'll help you.

What's up? How do you cope with stress?
