What to do in Berlin

This month I had a chance to visit Berlin. I was there only for a few days, but I had a wonderful time. I saw a lot of historical places, as Berlin has a fascinating past and visited the most important monuments. If you want to know why it's worth to go to the capital of Germany, continue reading

I want to start by telling you a few things that I noticed while I was there.

Berlin is very multicultural and open

If you want to go there because of your job, move to this city or just visit it as a tourist, feel free to do that. You can meet a lot of people from other countries, speaking foreign languages and having different beliefs. Berlin is a home for a lot of foreigners.

  

This city never sleeps 

It's probably like with  the most of big cities. A lot of clubs, concerts and different events are held and open every night.  If you are a fan of a nightlife Berlin is definitely for you.

 Street art is everywhere

Colorful works of art are present in the entire city. From the graffiti sprayed on the buildings to the East Side Gallery (I'll talk about it later). Colorful masterpeices are definitely impressive and can make a great background for an Instagram photo.

Bikes are a popular form of transport 
  Berlin has an extended network of cycle paths. Renting a bike is a great way of saving money and it's very Eco friendly. 

  Now, you know all the basics about Berlin. I also want to show you a few things that are really worth seeing and doing. 

Learn something about history

You've probably heard something about the Berlin wall. It split the city into two parts, east and west. However, the history of this metropolis isn't only about the wall. You don't have to visit the museum to learn about Berlin. Different exhibitions are placed all over the city. 

See the city at night

There is something about the night walks between lighted streets that makes them magical. Everything looks somehow more vividly.

 Visit Potsdam

It is a city located only 35 kilometers from Germany's capital. You'll be impressed at how much it has to offer. From different monuments and palaces to the large, green parks where you can catch your breath and have a rest from the hustle and bustle of the city. 

 Visit the most important places in Berlin

You can't go to Berlin and not see all of its most famous tourist spots. I'll name a few of them below.

Berlin Cathedral

Reichstag 

It was only a small amount of  Berlin's monuments and the most important buildings. The city has a lot more to offer.
