To be fit in a healthy way


Hello!
Immersing yourself in a fitness industry can be harmful for mental and overall health for some people. You see pictures of perfect bodies, people and lives everywhere and it can cause complexes and in some cases also eating or another mental disorder. Today I want to elaborate on this first thing. An eating disorder such as anorexia is really serious illness. Sometimes a person can't see how skinny he/she is and continually wants to ''improve'.There are a lot of other disorders and today I want to show you how to prevent yourself from developing one and how to a have positive body image.


At the beginning I should mention that I have  experience with this matter because I also had such problems. I had always thought that I'd never do anything bad to my body, to myself and I did it after all. It was probably the worst time of my life, I didn't have the energy and I thought about food and exercising all the time. Luckily, I didn't give up and today I'm almost 100% healthy. 
Let me tell you about things that I wish I had done in the past. 


Don't rely on a scale 

The weight of two people who are the same height can differ while both of them are healthy. Why? Because one of these people can have more muscles and be ''heavier''. Muscle mass always weigh more, but gives better, leaner look. Don't be scared if you think that you constantly put on weight, if you exercise it can be your muscle mass which is growing. 

Unfollow ''negative'' people and accounts

Have you ever heard of ''fitspirations''? These are the photos of people who have the perfect body and exercise all the time. They can inspire you but only if you have a distance to them. In other cases, you begin to compare yourself to their sometimes edited shapes and to think that your body is worse, less attractive and you should change it. 


Stop comparing

Not only when it comes to your body. Everybody's life is different and yours isn't worse. People vary and sometimes you can't have what that other person has. You should accept it and move on.

 Don't exercise too often

We tend to think that more is better. Sometimes, despite tiredness we go for a run or start exercising. I don't say that you shouldn't work out, but  after a restless night, you should ease off. Secondly, our organism needs proper rest so we shouldn't be active day after day. I think that four times a week is much better than seven. Give your muscles and mind a break. 

Follow people that are similar to you 

I'm not saying that you shouldn't respect other people's appearance, but if you see posts only from those ''perfect'' influencers you can easily fall into complexes. Find body positive accounts to see someone who likes his/her body despite imperfections. 


That's all I have for today. I wanted to write about these things because nowadays, while everybody has  access to the internet more people are focusing on their appearance. Remember that you have only one body and you'll spend the rest of your life inside it.

  4. I definitely have heard the challenge of being a fitness influencer from one of my friends. I think having a good health is the most important cause being healthy is happiness. We can't be happy when we are unhealthy.

  6. This post is really useful and necessary! It´s great to be fit but we shouldn´t become obsessed with it. The last tip is something that we normally don´t do because we are not realistic about our own bodies, thanks for reminding us to take care of our health

  10. Such an inspiring post. I completely agree with everything that you wrote. Compering is worst decision that we can made and also to much exercising isn't solution. I notice that I get more results if I made pause, instead exercising every day. Balance and fact that you love your body and accept it is the most important.

  14. Ja zwykle porywalam się z Motyka na słońce i nie wiele mi to dawało. Teraz na internecie jest mnóstwo planów treningowych dzięki którym możemy spokojnie nawet już w kilka tygodni przystosować się do np biegania długich dystansowe

  15. I think that I have a really unhealthy habbit of not eating at all when I want to lose some weight. It helps out, I really do lose weight but I don't think it's really healthy for me so I won't be going back to that method again.
